Sheepworld

Sheepworld
Sheepworld (324 State Highway 1, Warkworth, Auckland) – located just 50 minutes north of Auckland, this is New Zealand’s Sheep and Wool Centre, providing a step by step insight how we farm our sheep, then harvest and use their wool.
There are entertaining & fascinating live demonstrations (daily at 11 am and 2 pm), with dogs bringing in the sheep, plus shearing and lamb feeding. Its “Wonderful Wool” multimedia exhibition explains how the shorn fleece is put into a variety of uses. Along with demonstrating the NZ sheep and wool story, SheepWorld has some great ways to show local nature first-hand and for visitors to meet with some of its friendly wildlife and farm animals. Suitable for all ages and all weather conditions. Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily. Admission (which includes park admission and Sheep/Dog Show): $28 (adult), $23 (seniors), $10 (children ages 4-13 years), $66 (family pass / 2 adults & 2 children). Free for those 3 years and under.
