New Zealand Maritime Museum

New Zealand Maritime Museum
New Zealand Maritime Museum (Corner Quay & Hobson Streets, Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Central, Auckland, 1010) – this museum is a place of stories, ambition, courage and exploration. It’s a place of amazing journeys where you can discover how New Zealanders’ relationship with the sea has shaped their identity. Through seven different galleries, find out how the first Polynesian people made the epic migration to Aotearoa (the Maori name for this country), the early European exploration and settlement of New Zealand, right through to our modern-day yachting success. You can even experience Auckland’s stunning Waitemata Harbour for yourself with a sailing on board a heritage vessel.
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily. Admission: $17 (adult), $14 (seniors), $8.50 (children), $34 (family pass – 2 adults & 2 children). Free museum entry for Auckland regional residents
